Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Databoard (the “Service”), operated by Databoard (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. Notify us promptly at hello@databoard.run if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to store or transmit unlawful, infringing, or harmful content;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems and networks;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including through excessive automated requests;
  • Reverse engineer, resell, or sublicense the Service except as expressly permitted; or
  • Use the Service to violate the rights of others or any applicable law.

We may suspend or limit access to investigate suspected violations of these Terms.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for the applicable fees. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change our prices on prospective renewals with reasonable advance notice.

4. Your Data and Ownership

You retain all ownership of the content, records, and data you create or upload to the Service (“Your Data”). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit Your Data solely as necessary to provide and improve the Service. You can export Your Data at any time in standard formats through the in-product export tools. We will not sell Your Data.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by us and our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

6. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay fees, or use the Service in a way that creates risk or legal exposure for us or others. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. We will make Your Data available for export for a reasonable period before deletion, except where retention is required by law.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid to us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
